LEE Seung-hwan - Genre : Humanities - Award :   Lee graduated from Korea University and Taiwan National University where he received B.A. and M.A. degrees. He received his PhD at the University of Hawaii; his thesis is titled Virtues and 'Rights: Reconstruction of Confucianism as Rational Communitarianism'. Currently a professor of philosophy at Korea University, Yi has authored several books including and . Yi has been well known as a progressive philosopher of Chinese philosophy and has dealt with the inherent conflicts in liberal political thought. Currently, his research is focused on the cultivation of body with a view to overcoming the limitations of liberalism and capitalism.
